A bunch of residents in a mature residential space have seen house insurance coverage payments rise by €1,500 due to fears of a claimed flood threat.
It was claimed at a Naas Municipal District committee assembly by Cllr Anne Breen that folks residing in Mountain View on the Blessington Street have been instructed it’s on a flood plain and the residents have been conscious of this.
Cllr Breen mentioned among the homes there are 40-50 years outdated and the upper payments arose after water had gathered within the space.

Cllr Breen added that just about 400 houses are being constructed close by
Cllr Invoice Clear mentioned this was resulting from a drainage difficulty arising from one other space. This has since been refuted by Kildare County Council.
Naas mayor Fintan Brett mentioned a report from an engineering consulting agency had indicated that the Mountain View property shouldn’t be on a flood plain however insurance coverage firms try to take benefit.
